I wrote this piece with my dad. He has amazing ideas in his head, you just have to get past the moustache.
--------------------------------------------------------
If we all had a limited number of words to speak
And if when we had spoke them we could speak no more
What would happen to the world?
Would war go on unspokenly,
An agreement of bloodshed over peace?
Would silence descend and ease the ears
Of those who have heard too much?
Would people learn to read and write as well?
Would they discover in inked pages?
Would some scream every letter to make it count
But manage to still not have said a thing?
Would some say nothing and pass their whole lives
Barely breathing in case they exhale words?
Would the world be a better place?
Is it agreement when no one can disagree?
If we all had a limited number of words to speak,
And if when we had spoken them we could speak no more,
The world would be a quiet place,
Though I am unsure if that can be called peace,
Or merely silence.
